LA MODULAZIONE 2

La modulazione è uno dei tanti metodi che servono per destare interesse in una composizione oppure durante una improvvisazione. La modulazione è il passare ad una altra tonalità, qualsiasi tonalità. Il modulare è una scelta dell'autore la tonalità scelta è in rapporto con il pensiero dell'autore, non c'è alcuna regola, se non quella istintivo e musicale, che mette in relazione la tonalità di partenza con quella modulante. Nell'ambito della imrovvisazione avanzata esistono dei concetti, non condivisi da tutti, ad esempio se sostituisco un II-V con altro II-V, l'orecchio dell'ascoltatore non percepisce la differenza, ciò non significa che dobbiamo farne una regola, sarebbe inutile, signfica invece che il significato funzionale di una progressione possiede oggigiorno una importanza maggiore di quella che gli veniva attribuita qualche decennio or sono. Certamente la modulazione nel suo insieme non è una funzione armonica; dal punto di vista dei suoi costituenti spesso trattasi di un II-V che ha la medesima funzione dei II-V non modulanti.
